As a cloud-based authoring tool, Elucidat enables a collaborative experience for authors, providing access to files and folders and thousands of elearning projects. We also provide an unparalleled level of detail in our data analytics, allowing you to drill-down into detailed insights about your learners on an individual or group basis. For many organizations this data is extremely valuable - and in most cases it is also confidential.
As the only authoring tool offering an unlimited author model, we make it possible to build huge communities of authors: enabling anyone in your organization to share their knowledge and expertise with others, maximising the real-life impact you can have.
We are also the only authoring tool on the market offering single sign-on for authors, so you can make access to Elucidat authoring easier, safer and more manageable.
What is single sign-on and why should I care about it?
In a nutshell, single sign-on (SSO) is a mechanism where you can allow people within your organisation to access multiple systems with just one secure log-in, without the need to enter multiple passwords.
If you need to invite people in from outside the organization, then our team admin feature enables you to invite people into managed folders within your account.
What are the benefits?
Your staff will be able to move between one system and the other without having to log-in again. SSO joins these services together to create a seamless experience, therefore removing any potential barriers to access your authoring tool.
The login credentials are aligned with your central SSO server, not Elucidat. This protects you from phishing, as there is a central authentication point which limits the risk of enabling people from outside your organization from accessing it.
Your organization saves time by utilising the systems you have already set-up to enable access to Elucidat. This means a more secure system in less time.
How do I make it happen?
Single sign-on is available to all customers on our High Volume subscription plan.
First of all, you will need to check with your IT team to find out whether you have single sign-on set-up and if so, that it uses SAML authentication.
If so, then we can help get you set-up in just a few steps. Our Professional Services team will support you through the process of configuration.
