Following the release of Pages, you may be seeing this banner above some of your Projects and that the updated view is not available when editing some of your existing projects.

Why am I seeing this?

This is for one of two reasons:

1. Because you are currently using pre-Layout Designer Themes (any themes other than Tempest, Bolt, Flux, Paper)

What does this mean for me?

  • Pre-Layout Designer courses will still be available to edit

For now, you’ll still be able to edit your current content and projects. When you, or any of your authors, access a project not supported by Pages, you’ll be automatically forwarded to a legacy version of Elucidat which is identical to the current version.

  • We’ll be supporting these pre-Layout Designer courses for the short term, and assisting you with migration

Although we will be continuing to support these legacy theme dependent projects in the short term, we will need to work closely with you over the coming months to decide how to best migrate them. Migrating them will ensure they continue to be fully supported in the longer term.

  • You can still use the update for new courses!

While you will be in the legacy platform for these courses, you’ll be able to use the update to structure and manage all your new stand-alone projects, so you’ll still be able to explore all its wonderful features!

2. Because you are in a Master course, or one of the Variations based on a Master course

What does this mean for me?

Due to small changes to Master courses in the updated platform, Master courses and Variations will remain in the legacy platform temporarily while we work with you to migrate these.

The customer success team will be in touch with everyone to discuss this more, but please get in touch if you have any questions.
